Glenary's is a quaint, vintage-themed restaurant that served up some yummy Indian and Chinese dishes with beautiful city views. They also have a bakery and cafe side, which is great for people who love to get their hands on some delicious cakes! The service is always super polite here and they offer some of the best panoramic views in town!
A must-visit place in Darjeeling that has been famous for years. We were able to find a seat without a queue, and most alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are available. The outdoor ambience is also very pleasant. Although the prices are a little bit high, it's very peaceful and not crowded.

One of the oldest bakery of the town which almost since 1885. Huge range of cakes, muffin, pastries, sandwiches, burger and many more..... most of the items made with egg therefore, Egg-less option of food is very limited. Since, This place is located middle of the market place, it is very famous, always crowded and difficult to find a place to sit. Service is good. Atmosphere is better and food quality and taste is outstanding. Only difficulty you may find with parking of your vehicle as it must be parked outside the market which is next to impossible find a proper place of parking. But, still I recommend this place to visit if you come Darjeeling once with your family or friends 😀

This place is over hyped. Visited this place for breakfast. The veg pizza was too heavy. The over sized sandwich was ok. The fresh cream pineapple pastry was tasty but the cream was too much. This place sells different baked items which are packed and arranged in the front portion of the place. If you go further inside, there are chairs and tables and there is also a balcony to enjoy the exotic view of the hills. The ambience is not so extravagant.

Beautiful food, service and perfect choice of location. Patio view adds extra value to your experience. We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and got seated immediately.3 floors, bar, bakery and restaurant, one can literally spend the whole day here and not feel dragged on.We had cheese and blueberry Danish, a black forest cake slice, veggie pizza, roast beef sandwich and a strawberry milkshake along with 2 cokes. The servers accommodated all our special requests.Fun fact: At every table they have a variety of condiments along with a locally sourced spicy ketchup as well as Dijon mustard instead of regular mustard. We paid around Rs. 500 per person for a meal for 2 including bakery/dessert items. All in all a fantastic experience and we hope to visit again on our future adventures to Darjeeling....a must go to spot! The high reviews are justified.

This is an iconic place in Darjeeling. The place is on Mall road and always teeming with people. They have a huge variety which gets finished very fast. Loved their cheese pie and sausage pie. But the chocolate tart was not good.

This is one of the most iconic places in Darjeeling and you won't miss this place for sure. Present in the heart of mall road this is one of the oldest bakery in the entire Darjeeling established in 1885. This place serves bakery items as well as indian and intercontinental dishes. The main attraction of this place is the outstanding vibe of this place and the melodious live music which is a rarity nowadays. We waited for a long queue outside and thought we won't be able to go inside as the official closing timing is 8pm but seeing the crowd they made an exception and we entered around 9pm. We had chicken sizzler which was not that great and I won't recommend much, but the fried rice and garlic chicken were top notch and the portion size was really great. The brownie with sizzler and the soft drinks we ordered were equally good. The live music was too good and added to the beauty of this entire place. The waiters took some time to take our orders so keep them informed continuously. The food and the atmosphere is top notch and there is also Option to dine in the balcony. The price is a bit higher than normal restaurant but it's quite obvious. A must visit place for any food explorer and lover as well. Highly recommended for people exploring Darjeeling and other new places to fill your tummy.

Glenary’s on Mall Road is always packed up, which speaks to its popularity. We had a few bakery items—the cream roll, apple pie, blueberry Danish, and veg puff—and they were pretty good. However, the restaurant didn't quite live up to the hype. It’s especially disappointing for vegetarians, as the options are quite limited. Stick to the bakery for a better experience!

The view from here was stunning! We managed to come here during the sunset and couldn't get enough of it (see photos and videos). The staff were very polite and friendly. Drinks were nice - we ordered pina coladas which were quite alcoholic but tasty. Food was admittedly not the best. We ordered a baked macaroni cheese and American chopsuey, and both of them were disappointing. Both had little flavour and were very fatty, so wr did not finish our meals.

A must visit place if you are visiting Darjeeling. It's a heritage hotel and the place gives you that colonial era vibes. The place has a bakery, a dining area and a separate bar area. So you get everything under one roof. The place also offers live music mostly during dinner time. So if you are a fan of live music this is the place. The bakery is really good. Cakes chocolate bread everything is good. The view from the dining area is really awesome if you get clear skies that is. Now for food, it offers continental Indian and Chinese cuisines. I like their continental dishes better than the other two. Pocket pinch is not that high compared to the place's location and ambience. The quality of the food is also good and the quantity is also decent. Overall a wonderful place to spend time with your loved ones be it family or friends.

One of the most talked about cafe in Darjeeling, it indeed provides an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend everyone visiting the Queen of hills to soak in the vintage charm of Glenary's. With beautiful live music performance in the evening, you will be transported back in time to an era of nostalgia. The food served is pretty enjoyable as well. The place is multi cuisine, but well known for its continental dishes if you are visiting in the evening. For breakfast, you have an array of bakery items to indulge in, the muffins and walnut cake being the best of the lot. You can also enjoy a lavish English breakfast and Darjeeling tea with pleasant views of the hills from the balcony.

This is a very good cafe to go. Ambiance and location is really good. Below reviews are strictly based on cafe and bakery's experience and doesn't include pub experience.Ambience - Night ambiance is like any regular cafe but mornings it's amazing view. I will give 4/5.Food variety - They have lot of options to choose from. Definitely 5 out of 5Food tastes -Food taste is decent. I will rate 4/5.Service - Service time was decent. 5/5Price - Price is decent compared to location and ambiance. 5/5Note:I recommend going in morning before 9 to enjoy the breakfast with amazing view as seating capacity is very less and it gets crowded. Also bakery is different from the cafe but you can grab them together and enjoy it there.Happy dining foodie.Follow onInstagram: healthy_techguy

Famous place here in darjeeling. Self-service to choose your bakery items, then pay for it. Dine in place have there own menu and table service. Good views from outside dining place. I reached around 7, and most of the items were over. It seemed a little overrated since the bakery items are not super tasty. We have tried a few pastries, Japanese cheesecake, chocolate éclairs, banana walnut cake, muffins, and a few cookies. In all bread based deserts, you can easily taste the egg. Cookies were really good, especially the butter cookies. Blueberry cheese cake gets over very quickly, so if you like to taste that, then be early.

Iconic Glenary’s , a must visit place in Darjeeling . It is divided in 3 parts - cafe , dining and restro-bar . The vibe is just magical. Food is great as well . Though I found the quality has dropped a lot from before but it’s still a must visit place .On par with European bakery goods.Must have - cream roll , cappuccino, chicken sizzler, quiches, cocktails and black forest cake ❤️

Poor service. Maybe they prefer locals over tourists. Not coming to take our orders. But the food taste was awesome. Highly recommended if you are an english breakfast lover. The view was nice. They should charge people for taking photos in front of their legacy holder remark.🤪.For food and the ambience I am giving 4 stars. The washroom was in poor condition..🥲

Food in the bakery is better than restaurants. Service is really good.I love their bakery items a lot..Environment is really enjoyable when it’s less crowded, specially the outdoor sitting arrangements in the bakery. But I must say they should more careful about the cleaning and hygiene of the outdoor of the restaurant. There are flies and bugs everywhere in the in the rooftop. If the management take care of this issue we can enjoy the food in ease.Glenary’s is a heritage and we want it as its best position.

One of the oldest bakery & cafe in Darjeeling who have been serving their customers since 1885. They have a restaurant upstairs as well. This bakery/cafe was super busy and there was a line of people waiting to get a seat at the restaurant. Their items were good, but most options are for non-vegetarians. Out of all the items that we tried, we liked the cup cake, black forest pastry and apple pie. You must try their ‘apple pie’ which was one of the best I’ve ever had.

It's a must visit place in Darjeeling especially for those who love hanging out while having tasty treats. It's a self serve bakery shop, you need to select your favourite treats. Both dine in and take away options are available depending on your mood. Some may find the rates bit higher but the taste, atmosphere and the variety are worth it.

The experience was good but the food was average except Fish n Chips which was fabulous. Everyone must try it. We tried Hot Chicken Sizzler along with Chicken Steak. Chicken Steak was average but the Chicken Sizzler was not good at all. The Ambience was good. It was crowded as we visited during peak season. There are many items to choose from on the menu along with pork, for pork lovers. I was quite disappointed with the taste of the food. Though I will suggest everyone to visit but to choose food wisely as it's quite pricey.

If you're visiting Darjeeling, a photo in front of Glenarys and munching on some favorite snacks is a must.It should be done, no matter what.Overall the service, the vibe and the Aura hits different. It is one of the most oldest things situated there. The prices of the items and the food is overall okay considering the place, it's brand and the entire thing. Now, coming to the location it is just a minute walk from the Mall road and right a few metres after the Legendary Keventers.Overall a 10/10 experience.

The bakery attached to the restaurant has good service and good system in place to handle the crowd. Being an old place, they have been maintaining their consistency well. The food at the restaurant was not very special to highlight. They had live music in place and a good outdoor dining space. It might get crowded during tourist season and try to make it there once the crowd has settled.
