Nestled in the serene surroundings of Lake Rosseau, JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa offers a luxurious and prestigious stay. With award-winning restaurants on-site, guests can indulge in Italian dining and lakeside lounging. 5 Stars no doubt! We had our wedding here in 2021 and it was the best day ever. Erin and Leslie were so accommodating, caring and they were quick on their feet to assist with anything. Erin was there on the day of the wedding and was always keeping an eye out to make sure that the day went smoothly. The ceremony was held on their gorgeous lawn and the reception was in one of their ballrooms. The rooms were clean, beautiful and spacious, the staff were friendly, food was delicious and the view is just magnificent. Whenever I am at the Rosseau, I always feel welcomed and a part of a big family.

Stayed at this impressive resort for one night on our first trip to the Muskoka Lakes region. We had arrived earlier than planned due to lighter traffic. At check-in we were told that we could roam the resort and enjoy its many activities while our room was getting prepared. At approximately 1:30 PM, we received a call informing us that the room is ready. We had reserved a non-lake-view one bedroom suite with balcony to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The suite comes fully equipped with a kitchen, a round dining table that sits four, a comfortable sofa, and a fireplace. The hardwood floor and the decor provided an inviting cottage feel. The bathroom is large and beautifully appointed. Amenities are all top-notch.After the build-a-Rosseau-Buddy activity, we headed out to the kiddie pool/splash pad and the beach to enjoy the afternoon. Upon returning to our suite, we were pleasantly surprised by a personalized note, a bottle of wine, and a large plate of cheese and fruit. Another highlight of the stay is a quiet stargazing night out on the balcony. We dined at the Cottage restaurant for breakfast. Recognizing that our little toddler may need extra space, the attentive staff accommodated us in a separate area by the steakhouse restaurant, which was closed in the morning. The food at the buffet was excellent.Initially we had trouble locating the activity room for young guests, The Studio. The helpful staff was able to guide us to the correct location. The Studio is at another level below the main pool complex. Some equipment at Kid’s Splash Pad require maintenance/replacement.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Rosseau. The staff working here is the key ingredient to this property’s success. David at the Front Desk was exemplary on many levels. We will definitely be returning to this fabulous property!Would recommend to stay here.

Great resort situated on a beautiful piece of land!We went as a family with young kids, and the heated indoor/outdoor pool was fantastic, given that the daytime temperature high was 21. Unfortunately, the other pools weren’t open yet for the season, including the splash pad, however the indoor/outdoor pool was never busy. We had the pool and hot tub for ourselves for an entire afternoon. The rooms themselves are clean and spacious. A 1 bedroom suite is perfect for a family. The large kitchen area is a huge bonus. We also saw that laundry is available free of charge for guests that may be staying for longer periods. We’ve stayed in a few of the luxury line of hotels, and the staff at this hotel were by far the most accommodating and friendly. The seagulls are crazy though!

The location is absolutely gorgeous. I truly enjoyed the beauty but the beast was the food. But I will get to that later. We were in total 16 people on a business retreat. The hotel property is quite enormous. We got lucky that our room was in the main area. So our meets and location was perfect but the other team members had a lot of stair climbing and quite a distance to get to the restaurants. Now the Ice Bar was closed so I cannot comment on that but the bar inside was pretty good. We all enjoyed the selections and the service too. So when we first arrived 3 of us went to the outside patio for a quick lunch. Outside they had a booth with champagne by the glass. "I said why not." well at $80 a glass it was hard to swallow. But I did and sorry I did not ask for the price. So We sat for lunch. I got the Kobe burger and one member got the wings and the third got fish and chips. They were all horrible. The Burger was dry and tasteless. The wings were like rubber and also tasteless and the fish and chips was terrible. The waitress said it a new menu. It is not the menu it is the chefs. I come from the food industry and the food failed on all counts. I am sure you can find something that you may enjoy eating but for 2 nights we didn't. But we did make the most of our retreat. Now would I go back? Absolutely not. Even the buffet breakfast beware of the sticky tables it is disgusting. Not what I expected. If the food was good I would rate this place a 5 star but food is important. Too bad they blamed it on the new menuOh well on to my next journey...

Had a great weekend at the JW Marriott. The service was amazing! Amanda Morris went above and beyond to make our experience special and memorable! Me and my partner will remember that weekend for a lifetime! Rooms were clean and spacious. Amenities were easily accessible and comfortable. Thank you team Marriott for a great time!

The JW Marriott is a great place to stay. Very clean , great staff , beautiful location .However I would probably not go again during a weeknight (we went on a Thursday night) as they are pretty short staffed and most amenities were closed. There was also not many options for restaurants during the week and not a lot of options for food on the menus that were available. Food is definitely overpriced and was good but I have had cheaper for better quality.

I really expected more from the JW Marriot brand. I stayed at the Paignton House and the renovations were a complete eyesore. If you're on the main floor, you can expect to literally have a bulldozer or fork lift truck on your patio. My room in the Paignton House didn't have functioning air conditioning, during a July heat wave mind you. I had to inform the front desk more than 5 times to fix the issue. Maintenance came to the room 2 times claiming they had fixed the AC... only on the 3rd time did they realize the AC wasn't working... I wonder if the room being at 30 degrees was the giveaway? The beach area was beautiful!

I purchased a 2 night/ 3 day stay for my senior parents as a Christmas gift. I saw the hotel advertised on the news and thought it was a great place for them, unfortunately it wasn’t. Only one operating elevator which puts all guests at risk due to Covid measures. Three days before their stay I received an email saying the balconies were off limits. The balcony doors and windows were disassembled so there was zero fresh air in the room. My parents were only able to stay one night due to the beds being so uncomfortable that they were forced to sleep in 2 chairs. They checked out early after the first night.I’m truly embarrassed that I gave this as a gift. I paid extra for a nice suite for them and yet the place is a glamorous motel. I feel terrible for the staff that have to work here, they are so friendly and try to make it a pleasant experience

This was truly a memorable experience for my wife and I, we will definitely be coming back! This was our first time staying at this resort, and it was absolutely beautiful with lots to do. The staff were so welcoming, kind, helpful and we were always greeted with a warm smile. We enjoyed some amazing meals, outdoor winter activities, the hot tub, relaxing by the fire and meeting new people. It honestly felt like a winter paradise nestled in the heart of Muskoka. We look forward to bringing our children here to make it an annual family vacation.

A perfect place to spend a weekend and enjoy a spa day. We were delighted to get a free room upgrade with a great view of the lake. The service was amazing, the bartenders were great and our room was beyond expectations. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

Stunning location on a high point overlooking Lake Rosseau. Very good food and drink. Comfy bed and large bath with separate shower and water closet. Room lost 1 star as hot water wasn’t available for a period of time in the AM and that caused inconvenience.

Blake I — Google review

3 star hotel at best given the service was not near a 4 star hotel. This location should be downgraded to a regular Marriott.Came for the spa day pass - the hot/cold circuit was not at the same level as Scandinavian type spas. Salt room was just ok, oxygen room didn't work, the two massage chairs were never free and the pool was filled with bugs.Staff were very friendly but service at the restaurants was very slow; cottages and the deck.Came in feeling excited for the day, debated staying overnight but kept to our original plans to leave the same day as our day went on.The location is very beautiful, it's unfortunate the quality of service and amenities just wasn't there for a JW or 4 star rating.

The property is lovely but the hotel is a bit of a mess of decor these days. We experienced a couple of poor service moments that seemed at odds with the high price we were paying for the room.1. At dinner, one of our group had a glass chip in their wine and ended sipping it and then cutting a finger while taking the glass out of their mouth. Although the glass of wine was comped, there wasn’t a bigger show of apology as you might expect from a fine dining restaurant.2. At another restaurant, the margaritas were way too spicy to drink (the one we had earlier was delicious, so we knew the spice level wasn’t right). We told the waitress this and instead of receiving a fresh drink, the old one was watered down and returned looking rather murky and now not tasting like the drink we had ordered originally.3. We called (from our cell phone because the phone in the room was disconnected) for maintenance on our toilet which would not flush properly throughout our stay. Maintenance did not arrive.

Had my wedding here last year and it was an amazing experience. Leah and Erin were awesome to work with. Planning a wedding during COVID was stressful, but the team at Marriott made sure the whole process was as smooth as possible. Fantastic view and delicious food. All of our guests had a great experience10/10 would recommend

Absolutely incredible stay at the Marriott Lake Rosseau! Everything they did for my husband and I was above and beyond. We were there celebrating getting married and on entering our *free upgraded* room, we found chocolate covered strawberries, very nice hand written note and towel swans on the bed! We were treated like royalty! Each meal we had they brought us free dessert! All the staff, waiters and spa personnel were so friendly and very accommodating! Highly highly recommend staying at this resort, especially if you are celebrating anything! We will definitely be back!!

Great 2.5 hour destination from the city to spend a short getaway! The resort is lovely with fantastic views! Service is top notch and they're always keen to make you happy. The heated pool is AMAZING. It was 22 degrees so we loved swimming in the heated pool as well as the hot tub which is big with a view. The deck is where you can have drinks, food by the pool is great with fantastic views. Teca is also an amazing Italian restaurant for a romantic dinner and kids are welcome. Resort is very kids friendly without being too loud or chaotic.A MASSIVE plus, is that there's free parking inside the resort only 2-3 minutes walk!Rooms are spacious but outdated.

JW Marriott is a beautiful property situated on a large 700 acres lot. Both of the hotel's buildings are located on a hill and provide stunning views of Lake Rosseau. I really enjoyed a weekend stay during the August 18, 2023 weekend. My room was a one bedroom suite with large balcony and it was spacious and nicely furnished. Special thank you to Prabhat working the front desk for excellent customer service and going out of his way to ensure I enjoyed my stay at the resort. Steakhouse dinner was amazing. Loved the game meat feature (bison). There are several swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), an outdoor champagne bar, Italian restaurant, cool lobby bar and a pub with patio overlooking the lake. Most beautiful property from all the resorts in Muskoka I have been so far. Lots of trails to walk around and explore. Certainly planning to comeback in the near future.

To be more comfortable, as they were a bit too firm for my liking. However, the overall experience at JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa was truly amazing.Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed by the level of comfort and cleanliness. The room felt brand new, and the complete kitchenette was a pleasant surprise. It was stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals during my stay. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious, with high-quality amenities and a hairdryer. The location of the resort is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The resort provides golf cart rides to facilitate transportation around the property, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Their kindness and willingness to assist made my stay even more enjoyable.I had the pleasure of dining at the Beca Italian restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The food was delicious, and the team working there was incredibly nice. The service was top-notch, and the smiles on their faces made me feel welcome and appreciated. One of the highlights of the resort is its full-service spa and the swim-through indoor/outdoor pool. It was a unique and refreshing experience to swim between the indoor and outdoor sections of the pool. Additionally, the resort offers a gym and a business center for guests' convenience. The proximity to The Rock Golf Course and the various recreational activities available on the property, such as canoeing and snow-shoeing, provided ample opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to indulge in their favourite pastimes. The view of the lake from the resort was truly mesmerizing. It added to the overall charm and beauty of the place. The room itself was spacious, and the huge bathroom and well-equipped kitchen were definite highlights. If there was one area for improvement, it would be the comfort of the mattresses. Personally, I found them to be a bit too firm for my liking. However, this is a subjective preference, and others may find them comfortable. Overall, my experience at JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa was amazing. The comfortable and well-appointed rooms, friendly and helpful staff, delicious dining options, and the beautiful location made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

Really happy with our stay this weekend def 9-10. First time to this hotel and spa and it was beautiful. The receptionist Chloe was prompt and efficient at checking us in and fortunately our room was ready way before 4 pm which was an added bonus. Chloe asked us about our stay and welcomed us. I believe it was her who sent the wine and chocolates to our room last night as I had briefly mentioned at check in that we were celebrating my birthday. Such a thoughtful sentiment and added touch to enhance our stay!!! Thank you!! The room itself was spacious with a beautiful balcony overlooking the water and a nice warm fireplace which we enjoyed. Nice added amenities in the room as well. I love a hotel that has real kitchen utensils and real wine glasses. The spa was beautiful as well, although we didn’t book any treatments we still took advantage of the day pass option and enjoyed the heated pool , hot tub and dry saunas. Very relaxing. The bartenders at the hotel bar were also very attentive and made delicious drinks. Lastly the gym was clean with updated and functional equipment. A huge must . 👏🏼Overall a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.Thank you 🙏🏻

First time to the JW Marriott The Rosseau. The TransCanada Highwaymen were great!! The staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate. All around beautiful place. The room that they're using for the concerts, in my opinion is not that terrific. My friend and I payed extra for the VIP experience and by half way through their set all the concert goers from the back came up to the front to dance and video/take pics. Our previous VIP seats were garbage now I ended up standing up so I could atleast see the rest of the concert. I think a higher stage might solve the issue. In my opinion.

Everything is top notch, one of the best hotels I have been to in Canada. The rooms, pool, food, ambience, activities everything was super awesome. Staff was very courteous and super friendly. There was just one miscommunication at the front desk for an in room dining order from Teca, which we confirmed over call. But the front desk person said they don't provide it. We had to go to our room again to order and we were able to. Other than that everything was top notch. Really enjoyed the stay there and will surely go back soon.

The property itself is very nice. They have a huge opportunity in service consistency. The people on the front desk were great, and a few of the staff, unfortunately the bad out weighed the good. The food options are good and ridiculously overpriced. We don’t mind paying a premium (hence why we came here) but the food and service did not live up to Marriott standards…

We came in for lunch on a sunny April Saturday afternoon. The service was very attentive and welcoming.I had the fish and chips, which was good. It could have been great with a slightly larger fish portion and a more flavorful and crunchy batter. My daughter had the wagu burger which was very tasty but had too much mayo in in. After lunch, we sat outside on muskoka chairs overlooking a spectacular view of the lake. It was very pleasant. Highly recommend!

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred at your hotel Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka on May 24th . At approximately 8:30 AM, contractors were allowed to enter rooms unescorted to swap phones. This action, taken without proper notification or accompaniment by hotel staff, resulted in a serious invasion of privacy and a distressing experience for my wife and me.To detail the incident:•At around 8:30 AM, while my wife was in our room, contractors knocked twice and then entered without waiting for a response. My wife, who was under the sheets with barely anything on, had to quickly ask them to step out so she could put on some clothes and then hide in the washroom until they completed their task. When I returned to the room, I found a man and a lady standing inside while my wife was still in the washroom, clearly distressed by the situation.I have several concerns that I believe management needs to address:1.Timing of the Activity: Why was the decision made to change phones at 8:30 AM, a time when many guests are still in their rooms?2.Lack of Escort and Notification: Why were contractors allowed to enter rooms without being accompanied by hotel staff, and why were guests not adequately notified of this activity in advance? This incident has caused significant distress and discomfort, particularly for my wife, and has raised serious concerns about the hotel's respect for guest privacy and security protocols.I request that you take the following actions:1.Conduct a thorough investigation into why this breach of privacy occurred and what steps will be taken to ensure it does not happen again.2.Provide a formal apology for the distress caused to my wife and me.3.Review and improve your protocols for contractor activities and guest room entries to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future. So to whom reading this review. What would you do if this happened to you ? Would you spend your money at a place managed as such ? I leave it to you to decide.Adam H

The JW here has amazing views, it is a perfect getaway to unwind and be secluded from the daily. It’s fairly quiet and is a nice family resort. They have an indoor pool that opens up outdoor. There is a spa building that is separate from the main hotel. Upon arrival, there was no one to valet check our car which was a bummer. It felt like the staff was new and navigating through. The restaurants are fine with decent selection.

The beauty of Muskoka, and the convenience of a resort, what more could you ask for? Much preferred this experience to staying in an airbnb (which costs a small fortune for a week of cooking all your own meals, and cleaning!) At the Marriot I was taken care of from the second I walked in, VERY friendly staff, and when I say friendly, I mean the service at every level was outstanding. Our room was comfortable (great beds!), and had that cottage aesthetic one would expect, in addition to a SPECTACULAR few from the balcony of Lake Rosseau (and all those magical little islands everywhere). Waking up to that view was literally priceless! Also enjoyed the restaurants, especially the breakfast buffet that had something for everyone. The adults and kids were all happy! And speaking of kids, this is a GREAT family vacation sport. Tons of things to do individually and as a family (moms and dads, if you can get away definitely enjoy the spa here, there's an adults only private pool area and outdoor sauna that was so quiet and relaxing). In fact the resort has a lot of separate spaces for relaxing OR family time depending on who you're there with. The Vodka ice bar they have is the coolest experience (pun intended ;-) And if you're able, book a boat trip out on the lake and do some tubing! This was the highlight of our trip, and the staff that run the lake activities are truly amazing (shout out to Sabrina and Tatum for such a fun experience, you girls took great care of us and the kids). So, if you're thinking about booking a stay here, do it! You won't regret it. My family and I have been creating wonderful memories here for years, and will continue to do so. Attention to detail and care at the resort is very evident, so hats off to management for creating such a successful establishment! We will most definitely be back :-)

We came here for our anniversary. The location is beautiful. We really enjoyed the scenery. The facility looks old and run down. The kids splash bad had a huge cement hole and it was super busy as this weekend was a long weekend. They still kept it open and I didn't take my 3yo because other kids were falling.Their service is super super slow. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it took 40mins to come and it was burnt. I didn't say anything but the waiter saw the chicken and came over and took it from me saying she can't let me eat that. They made another one which took another 40mins. The chef and the manager came to apologize. Apparently, Someone turned up the oil temperature and it made my chicken burn. They offered to give us a free dessert for the inconvenience.Dinner time - we ordered our food at around 730 and we told them to get our sons food first because he's super hungry and we can wait for our food. They brought his food 40mins later and ours 1 hour later. The chef (same chef) came over and apologized for the delay and when he noticed it's us again - he didn't even make an excuse. He just asked if we wanted to get my 3yo a dessert. Which we refused. The following day, we went to one of their restaurants for lunch and the waiter kept walking around looking at us. There was only 1 other couple in thet restaurant. 25mins later I finally asked her if we can place our order and she came to us. At this point - we decided we will just leaveSo after talking to some other visitors, it turns out that all their Staff was new. They opened for the first time this season. One of the guys I spoke with said that he goes there every year and this was the first time he received this type of service. It felt like we were visiting a resort in India. The gentlemen said they are are owners who brought new staff. The resort itself is a 5 star, but their service was a zero. They should be hiring well seasoned and experienced staff for this type of a resort.

**Review Update:**Post-stay update. Unfortunately, things didn't improve much. The hotel is undergoing renovation work in the outdoor areas and some elevators, likely preparing for the summer season. While this is understandable, doing all of it at the same time and at the expense of current guests is unreasonable. Large sections of the outdoor areas and some connecting paths were closed off, making the already maze-like hotel even more frustrating to navigate. The noise from the construction was loud and constant, disrupting the enjoyment of outdoor areas and meals. On the service side, while the staff were friendly and accommodating, the service was slow, and they missed the mark on small details such as holding doors open or delivering missing items promptly. Many of the staff seemed new.The spa services, while pleasant, were not worth the extra $100 CAD, especially since they were not included in the $39 resort fee. It's unusual for a hotel to charge separately for such services, which added to the disappointment.Despite the hotel's beautiful property and potential, it falls short of what one would expect from a JW Marriott, especially considering the high price point.Initial stay impressions: The location of the JW Marriott Muskoka Resort is stunning, surrounded by Muskoka's natural beauty. The serene environment and picturesque views are definite highlights. We were upgraded from a king room to a one-bedroom suite, which was a nice touch. The room and facilities met JW Marriott's standards, offering comfort and luxury. However, service issues were notable. For example, the fire alarm went off from around 7:30 to 8:30 AM, and there was no communication from the Front Desk, which was unsettling and disrupted our schedule. The resort fee itself felt wasteful as the inclement weather prevented us from using the outdoor activities it presumably covers.Dining was average; the food was good but not exceptional. Various small issues, such as non-functioning elevators after the fire alarm, confusing hotel layout, blocked paths due to construction, and lack of slippers with the robe in the room, further detracted from the experience. Additionally, instances of broken furniture were disappointing.Overall, while the location and accommodations are lovely, service issues and an accumulation of small problems have somewhat diminished the overall experience. Better communication, attention to detail, and a clearer value proposition for the resort fee could significantly enhance the guest experience at JW Marriott Muskoka Resort.

It’s our second time here and they were 12 years apart both during Family Day Weekend. We have enjoyed our time here both times. Amazing views all around!Rooms are clean and spacious but we noticed the shelves/doors/etc need major upgrades as they have started to show their age. The pool area is very nice especially after a long day of activities. The indoor area of the pool is a little small and can get crowded/loud easily but with the extended outside pool, there’s plenty of space for everyone. And did I say warm? Yes, heated pool outside during winter! The lounge area is fantastic with live music at night. Lots of space to hang around with TVs, chess tables and a pool table. The only concern is the price of drinks are extremely expensive at $20+ cocktails and &15+ beers. By the time you have couple of drinks, tip, tax and local fee, you might be looking at $80 per person.Service is nothing short of amazing. from the moment you step in to the time you leave. The staff are courteous and helpful. They have lots of freebies throughout the day including hot chocolates, popcorn, Smores, Hotdogs, etc.We will plan to visit again but hopefully not have to wait 12 years!

Using low rating so people will read this. Great resort. Lots of on site options including water sports games room. Really nice spa. Many on site restaurants and great patio dining. My only complaint is they don’t honour the room upgrade that is part of the bonvoy program. Very friendly staff. The guest relations manager reached out to me and offered a better experience on a subsequent stay.We probably won’t be able to take a vantage until next year, but at least this is a good effort

Checked out a full day early, as the experience was horrible. The property is not accessible and the staff at the front desk are very unhelpful. When we checked in, no one told us where to find our room, and we ended up having to be guided by housekeeping across the property to a different building, dragging all our luggage along. No staff mentioned how to access the building or that we could drive closer to it. Our son is physically disabled, so this is no small task for him. Daily charges on our credit card were explained as one thing, then something completely different by the same staff. Dishes in our room were in the cupboards dirty and no bedding was supplied for the pull out, despite three people being indicated on the reservation. The pools, saunas and other facilities were falling apart. The main pool has large sections of tiles missing and chunks out of the sides. The hydrospa area was also in disarray. The daily fee for the “water park” is exorbitant and there is poison ivy along the waterfront (although there are no signs to advise guests - we heard it from a groundskeeper). The food is tremendously overpriced and not all that great. The manager sounded very unconcerned about our experience and argued with me that the telephone at the beach was labeled as shuttle telephone- despite no staff explaining to us that there even was a shuttle or where it took you. So, for two days, my son struggled up all the stairs to reach the beach or the main building. For the incredibly high price per night, it was a monumentally disappointing experience. Would not recommend this resort to anyone.

This is the greatest Marriott in Ontario. Truly an outstanding place. Staff were so friendly & on top of things. The restaurants on site have the best staff! Mya & Javier really brought my dining experiences to the next level. I truly felt welcomed & would be happy to return. The rooms here were really cozy & fully stocked with everything. If the room was missing anything, guest services were really prompt on finding it & delivering it to us. Amenities were top notch, they have level 2 EV chargers for a fair price. The pool & hot tub was spectacular. I certainly will be back!

This was an amazing stay. It was super last minute going, but this hotel had everything that was needed. Beautiful grounds, polite staff, incredible views, quiet, and the rooms are outstanding. The bathroom was beyond luxurious. It was nearly the size of my Toronto apartment. It was just the escape that I needed.

1. bartenders at Deck Restaurant tried to give us a foul smelling , gone bad drink on purposely. I would advise to be careful about food poising at any restaurant in JW Muskoka after what I have witnessed.2. Housekeeping washed the dishes and I had to wash all of them by hand because housekeeping does not know how to use a dishwasher. some glasses were broken, all dishes were on top of each other and they did not rinse at all before placing them in the dishwasher.3. security guy talked on the phone while staring at us while we were at the beach for more than 20 mins. he took pictures of people and made us so uncomfortable, we had to leave the beach. it was really weird.4. I came out from my room and there were 8 housecleaning/bellboy man hanging around and talking on the 4th floor near the elevators. I guess staff does not need to work in this resort? It was such a good hotel but now really bad management. so sad.

My husband and I went to this resort few times during different seasons! We loved in the winter the most! Amazing service, great atmosphere with good views . Last time we went during Family Day long weekend, it was very busy. Too many people in hot but and pool, but it was long weekend so it’s understandable. Would recommend to go during the week, it is an amazing place and excellent experience.

Hello Everyone,Just came back home from a very amazing trip and stay was definitely at JW. The hotel, the dining, the pools and the location views was all so spectacular…everything was so exotic and beautiful…i wished i could stay a little longer…staff was good and courteous…the only thing that I didn’t like was the room…the rooms are quite outdated and old styled…even the washrooms didn’t have whirlpools….Marriott - please guys you need to update your rooms…rest everything was so magnificent. A memorable trip…will come back again for sure

Don't trust them!!!! What a nightmare and a disappointing experience with this so-called "luxury" resort and spa. Raquel, the manager, is horrible and immensely unprofessional. I booked on their own website but called and cancelled within 30 mins of making the reservation, even though I had 24 hours to cancel. They gave me a cancellation number. I checked my online banking and saw that I was charged nearly $2000.00, which was over what they had quoted me. But figured they would rectify their mistake. A couple of days after, I still saw the amount on my online baking and now it had been posted, no longer just authorized. So I called and spoke to various staff members who said the last guy didn't cancel your reservation!!! So how did he provide me with a cancellation number? They kept passing me on to other staff. Raquel came back and hung up on me. This whole thing took over 1.5 hours for a mistake they had made. Raquel made the whole experience much worse as she wasn't listening and just kept talking over me. I kept my calm. But she was awful. At one point she said "you don't have your CC memorized. I have memorized mine." Laughing with her colleagues. How is that even relevant? I think she was trying her best to upset me. I will never stay here. Even if it's the best room for free. The staff and management don't stand behind their own policy. Don't trust them. They will provide you with a valid cancellation number and then charge you anyway. Be aware and keep an eye on your CC online banking.

Probably our fourth time visiting here. Great location and friendly and helpful staff. Rooms start to feel bit outdated, pool and water activities are great. What I dislike the most is the ripoff price of drinks, $15 for a pint of beer is just funny. Food overall is good and I get the price is slightly higher so no problem there. We'll probably still come again but feels the avg room price with everything else is not in full balance.
